No onsite parking for Joplin High School dedication, ribbon-cutting

(From Joplin Schools)

We're four days away from the JHS/FTC dedication and ribbon cutting! The event starts at 1 p.m. on Friday. It will be open to the public and includes special guests Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

Please watch www.joplinschools.org for details regarding community shuttles to the event (there will be no on-site parking) and security information. We're working fast and furious to finalize all of the plans - stay tuned! There will also be a community open house at the school that evening from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Honored and invited guests get a shuttle from theif off-site parking to the big event. I would bet they will even get chairs. In the meantime, students and staff will get to slog it through the puddles and wet grass (or walk in the road on 20th). It's for the kids, for sure.

The kids will be there plenty early, some as early as 2:00 a.m. CJ is using student labor in the night to hang is stupid ass ribbon. It sounds dangerous. Don't they have to go to school? Another deplorable situation brought to R8 by CJ Huff. If one of them gets hurt he'll say it was their idea. I think I'll keep mine away from there.

He's going to have the students hanging that ribbon during thunderstorms? What is Plan B? Oh, that's right, CJ doesn't believe in a Plan B.

Maybe the emphasis should have been on completing the storm shelters instead of athletic fields and breaking a record with a stupid ribbon that nobody (besides C.J.) cares about.
