THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...
  MCDONALD COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...
  NEWTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1145 PM CDT

* AT 1052 PM CDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF BAXTER SPRINGS TO 15 MILES
  SOUTHWEST OF SENECA...AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

  HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.

  IMPACT...HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE TO
           ROOFS...SIDING AND TREES.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  ANDERSON...BAXTER SPRINGS...DIAMOND...FAIRVIEW...GOODMAN...
  GRANBY...LANAGAN...LEAWOOD...NEOSHO...NOEL...PINEVILLE...SAGINAW...
  SENECA...SHOAL CREEK DRIVE...SILVER CREEK...SOUTH WEST CITY AND
  SOUTHERN JOPLIN.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES BIG SUGAR CREEK STATE PARK. INTERSTATE 44
BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 0 AND 6 WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED BY SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS.
