Joplin R-8 continues to sink; Huff Administration begins coverup

The C. J. Huff Administration initiated a cover up in response to the latest problem for the R-8 School District- a giant sinkhole in the right field area on the brand new Joplin High School baseball field.

Workers were reportedly pouring concrete into the sinkhole today to cover up the problem, a questionable proposition if the area has not been thoroughly checked to make sure that it is just a sinkhole and not a mine shaft.

Maybe he can fill it with the broken dreams of wrongly treated ex employees and the wasted taxpayers money. Not to mention the lost education benefits of the students because of the loss of good and caring teachers.

That part of Joplin was heavily mined. Some houses in the area have had big holes open up in their yards.

If you build it, they will whoooooooahhh, help!!!!

C. J.'s Mission Accomplish deadline = Shoddy work! Wait till you see it all come out from under the rug.

It is going to be a mineshaft. That whole area sets on a mineshaft. ask the people in this area that know because at one time they worked in them.

What exactly is he trying to cover up? I don't think anyone would be surprised that there was a sinkhole in Joplin. Great article!

He's trying to cover up the sinkhole. You don't want to leave one of those things open.

Here's some info I picked up around town. I won't say facts because I can't verify, but it sounds reasonable. I heard a geologist was at the site yesterday and said it is a mine shaft. He would have to come back and measure it to determine the situation.

If that is true, why were they already pouring the concrete today? Was he back today to give his opinion? How do we know that field, or those around it, or the tennis courts and concession stand won't fall in? Did CJ and Co think they could really fill up a mine shaft with loose rock at the bottom with unsupported concrete? And, what is this costing?

Inquiring minds want to know the truth. We will never get it from CJ and his puppet board, so what should parents do? I'm quite concerned now for the safety of the students and staff at that school. We need help here.

There's your 8 million in might as well spending, right down the drain. With good money chasing right after it.

He's trying to cover up that the field is built on a mine shaft that needs supported, is what. You put your kids on it. I'd rather mine lived unharmed through the season.

that's what you call a sinker

Parents, do worry, C. J. will explain it in his weekly blog.

Hey! Stop picking on CJ. It is not his fault. Some teacher should lose her jiob for allowing this to happen. You should thank your lucky stars for this wonderful man. If it were not for the worthless employees making him look bad you ingrates would realize this.

Tragedy.
When you lose control
of the big sink hole
It's tragedy...

When Bessy's gone,
and it all goes wrong.
It's tragedy,,,,

When Canada
is where you call home.
It's tragedy.

When some jerk
drags out a dumb old song.
It's tragedy...
