Mr. Vice President- We're the ones who need consoling, not C. J. Huff

A Joplin Globe photo that was sent out over the Associated Press shows Vice President Joe Biden consoling a distraught Joplin R-8 Superintendent C. J. Huff following his tearful address during Friday's Dedication Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting at the new Joplin High School.

Thankfully, the Globe had the good taste today to run the photo of JHS Student Council President Sadie Wallner cutting the ribbon at the top of page one instead of that one.

The people of Joplin already know that C. J. Huff crying during a speech is not news, it happens every time someone hands him a microphone.

If the vice president needs to console anyone it is the people of Joplin. When Biden left Joplin, he left C. J. Huff behind him.

Joplin is stuck with him- at least for a little longer.
