Turner Report reaches 22,000 posts

The post a few minutes ago, in which a reader asked Jim Kimbrough to run for re-election to the Joplin R-8 Board of Education, was number 22,000 since the Turner Report started in October 2003.

Thanks readers for continuing to support this blog, which after its first six months was drawing 35 visitors a day and now averages more than five thousand per day, with gusts of up to 30,000. (Those are mighty rare gusts.)

'Yesterday's coverage of the Joplin High School dedication ceremony drew more than 8,000 visitors, and combined with Inside Joplin 1,500, Inside Joplin Obituaries 3,000, and Turner Resports 1,000, the Turner Report blogs reached more than 13,500 visitors Friday.

Again, thanks for your support.
