Lamar author Nancy Hughes to be at Always Buying Books

Lamar author Nancy Hughes will sign copies of her books 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, November 15, at Always Buying Books.

Mrs. Hughes will have copies of her children's books, There's a Deer in the Forest and Grandma Has to Go Away and her non-fiction book, Healing for the Heart: A Guide for Survival in the World of the Widow.

There's a Deer in he Forest- Charlie is a little boy with a big imagination who discovers forest animals doing crazy things. Ants with holey underpants dancing with a hawk? A skunk playing a flute? A deer with sneakers? Yes and so much more! Read to the end for a huge surprise! Suggested age range for readers: 4-10 years of age.

Grandma Has to Go Away- Written for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one, Gracie's mother shows her a gift from Grandma that will comfort and give them hope as they miss her in the days and weeks ahead. Suggested age range for readers: 4-12.

Healing for the Heart- Written as an encouragement from seven widows to others who have lost spouses and to those wanting to offer help to widows.
