U.S. Rep. Billy Long issued the following statement after standing up for life and continuing his efforts to fight for the rights of the innocent unborn by voting in support of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act:
"I believe we should take care to protect the life of those who are the weakest and most vulnerable among us. At the same time I believe taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund abortions and abortion-related services. Life is the foundation to all other rights, enjoyments and fulfillments we can experience as human beings. The American people support life and I will continue to work to ensure that their values are reflected in the laws of our nation."
