...LIGHT SNOW ALONG WITH BLOWING SNOW AND COLD WIND CHILLS TODAY...

A WINTER CLIPPER SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE OZARKS TODAY. COLD
AIR WILL FILTER INTO THE AREA BEHIND A COLD FRONT THAT WAS MOVING
THROUGH NORTHERN MISSOURI EARLY THIS MORNING.

THE QUICK MOVING WINTER SYSTEM WILL BRING FALLING TEMPERATURES TO
THE REGION TODAY WITH RAIN CHANGING TO SNOW QUICKLY FROM NORTH TO
SOUTH THROUGH THIS EVENING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM A DUSTING
ALONG THE ARKANSAS BORDER TO 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI
WILL BE POSSIBLE.

IN ADDITION TO THE LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...WINDS BEHIND THE
COLD FRONT WILL GUST AT TIMES FROM 20 TO 25 MPH...CAUSING BLOWING
SNOW TO REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES.
ALSO...THE GUSTY WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH COLD TEMPERATURES TO
PRODUCE WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

STAY TUNED TO THE LATEST FORECASTS AND UPDATES ON THIS WINTER
SYSTEM AS IT MOVES THROUGH THE REGION TODAY. THOSE TRAVELING AREA
ROADS SHOULD STAY ABREAST OF THE CHANGING CONDITIONS. IF YOU MUST
BE OUTSIDE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...DRESS WARMLY AND IN
LAYERS AND LIMIT YOUR TIME OUTSIDE.
