(From the National Weather Service)

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.
  LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL APPROACH 30 MPH TODAY.

EXTREMELY COLD TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH THE WIND WILL CAUSE
WIND CHILLS TO BE BETWEEN -5 AND -15 DEGREES TONIGHT THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY MORNING ESPECIALLY OVER THE EASTERN MISSOURI
  OZARKS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

WIND CHILL VALUES RANGING WILL RANGE FROM -5 TO -15 EARLY
  THURSDAY MORNING.

A BAND OF LIGHT SNOW THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY EVENING MAY
BRING LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE
  EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS.

AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN WITH A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCES WILL THEN BRING CHANCES FOR A WINTRY MIX OF
PRECIPITATION FROM THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. CONFIDENCE IS
INCREASING FOR THE POTENTIAL OF A WINTER STORM TO AFFECT THE
AREA BUT EXACT PRECIPITATION TYPES AND AMOUNTS REMAINS UNCLEAR
