Government: Neosho man's phone had images of bound and tortured children

A federal prosecutor is asking that a Neosho man remain behind bars without bond as he awaits trial for producing pornography with area children.

The U. S. Attorney spelled out his reasoning in a motion for a detention hearing for James Lyndon McFadin, 32, filed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri:

In relation to the weight of the evidence supporting the charges in the indictment, on December 22, 2015, an adult reported a sexual assault to the Neosho, Missouri, Police Department, involving a 16 year-old female child, Jane Doe 1 and the defendant.

Jane Doe 1 disclosed that she and the defendant had a sexual relationship, and they last had sexual relations the week of December 14, 2015.

Jane Doe 1 stated she and the defendant exchanged nude and sexually explicit pictures through their phones and their computers. Jane Doe 1 stated she took the photographs at the defendant’s request. Jane Doe 1 stated she also took images of Jane Doe 2, Jane Doe 3, and Jane Doe 4 at the defendant’s request.

A forensic examination of the defendant’s cell phone, as well as his laptop computer, revealed a total of 176 images of suspected child pornography, 16 videos of suspected child pornography, 113 images of child pornography anime, 7 rape/bondage images, 12 rape/bondage videos, 1 bestiality video, 9 case specific images and 1 case specific video.

Thirty-five of the images depict Jane Doe 1. Several of these images depict Jane Doe 1 naked and masturbating. Five of the images of Jane Doe 1 depict her blindfolded and bound by the hands and feet. Two of the images depict Jane Doe 1 with her hands bound above her head. One video depicts Jane Doe 1 performing oral sex on an adult male’s penis. The suspected child pornography that was downloaded from the Internet depicts children as young as four or five years of age, engaged in various sexual activities, as well as being bound and tortured

A federal grand jury indicted McFadin Friday. The federal indictment alleges that McFadin used six children – three females and two males, who ranged in age from approximately 5 to 16 years old – to produce child pornography between Jan. 1 and Dec. 19, 2015. McFadin is also charged with one count of receiving and distributing child pornography over the Internet from Jan. 1 to Dec. 19, 2015.

The detention hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Springfield.
