Jim West is back on the Joplin City Council.
Unofficial results show West and Taylor Brown were elected to two four-year generalcouncil seats. Two other candidates, incumbents Melodee Colbert-Kean and Dan McCreary, who was appointed to Mike Woolston's seat after Woolston resigned, were elected without opposition.
Brown was the top vote-getter with 1,808 votes. West received 1,634, Billy Goodman 1,397, David N. Pryor, 1,350, and Harvey Hutchinson 809.
