A 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, arraignment has been scheduled for former Jasper County Sheriff's deputy Milton Ganz, who is charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer and unlawful use of a weapon, in connection with an incident Aug. 9 at Ganz' home.
According to police statements, Mrs. Ganz called police to the home after her husband threatened to kill himself. When police arrived, according to the statements, he aimed the weapon at the two officers and was shot and taken to a Joplin hospital.
