Joplin R-8 releases schedule for "Mission Accomplished" tour

The Joplin R-8 School District has released tentative plans for its "Mission Accomplished" tour, celebrating the opening of the new Joplin High School/Franklin Technical Center building.

The events, which will surely be coordinated by the district's new $50,000 a year event planner, will begin with a reveal of the building to parents and students on Thursday, August 21, followed by a Rose Garden pep rally later that evening, and will conclude with the cutting of the six-and-a-half-mile ribbon on October 3, which will also be the day that Football Homecoming activities are held.

Man, someone is in dream big mode! Has he been by there lately? Freaking disaster area. No kids should be in that mess. Dangerous.

Is this part of this week's Fact or Crap blog? I'm calling this crap. Don't want my kids and friends in that mess! Thanks for warning us that this is rumor, Dr. Huff!

August must be 'Onion or R-8?' month. Again.

Uh oh. I think they left off an important event. They forgot to put on today's 20-point safety violation tour! But that's okay. CJ has invited the media to make sure we know what 20 violations in safety he would expose our children and their teachers to so he can cut his ribbon on time.

It's kind of twisted, but thanks, Dr. Huff, for providing that service for us! We'll be looking for the results on the news tonight. What a guy. Always thinking of getting the word out.

4:02,
The news didn't and won't put anything on that Huff might not want.
I guess we survived a tornado, we can survive Huff-n-Puff blowing and going. Hopefully, the going part will happen soon.
