C. J. Huff: We're working on things, but we don't have any problems

The Joplin R-8 Board of Education decided tonight it needed to concentrate on curriculum and communications, even though Superintendent C. J. Huff says the district really does not have any problems in either area.

Yeah...We're putting all this work into Common Core curriculum that we probably won't even be using in a year or two. Most other states and districts have dropped it already. Good way to waste our time and money.

OMG! A little off topic but had to comment on Sharp, Landis and Huff's attire. After their uproar about professional attire for teachers, Annie shows up like she's gone to an ugly Christmas sweater party, Landis in an ill fitting (unprofessional?) sweater and Huff without a tie. I believe it's time for these idiots to shut up about dress codes.

Missouri dropped the CCSS last year, people. You now operate under the former standards while Missouri reinvents the wheel. I doubt it will be an improvement, but you can bet curriculum will have to be redone and new jobs made to oversee it. Job security for the inept, in R8.

5:17,
Missouri is still using CCSS. Now they call them Missouri State Standards, but they're still the same.
