Last August, I was in the Korean Peninsula at the height of the tension in the region.
We have made tremendous progress since then, and I am optimistic about what is to come.
America is safer today than it was last month, thanks to President Trump’s meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un in Singapore; however, this is just the beginning.
Trump and Kim have agreed to work toward denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. We have quite a long road ahead of us if we want to see real change in that region, and the U.S. cannot grant any concessions without tangible steps toward denuclearization and threat reduction.
This is an opportunity to reduce the risk of war in the Asia-Pacific; I look forward to seeing outcomes on this front as the two parties continue negotiations.

Um.....uh.......duh....you actually buy that or is that the latest rhetoric to push the Trumpers into believing? More alternative facts from the alternate universe.
What about the shortage of Mexican roofers?
What are her thoughts on that?
Alternative facts is a term used by liberals to dismiss anything they can't legitimately argue against.
Come to my neighborhood. For the past month there has been no shortage of Mexican roofers...
Alternative facts was a term started by your moron president's "consultant" (Kellyanne Conway) to justify his lies. Look it up.
As far as mexican roofers, find some of your white 'Muricans willing to do the job. Good luck with that.
Great points Congreslady Wagner!
