According to the probable cause event, the assault took place February 27.
Joplin Police Detective Brian Leeper responded to a domestic violence call at Freeman West Hospital.
The woman, who had bruises from head to toe, said Bilal Denzell Lucien, who goes by Denzell, 24, was upset with her, got the broom handle and attacked her. During the assault, he began to undress her, according to the probable cause statement.
"I'm going to show you what rape is," Lucien told her, according to the statement. "Lucien then inserted the broom handle into (her) rectum.'
Court records indicate Lucien is not in custody at this time.
Jasper County Circuit Court records indicate that when Lucien is arrested, he will initially be held without bond. If bond is set, one condition will be that he goes nowhere near the alleged victim.

Ummm...if a bond is set? No. just no. No bond.
