Probable cause: Suspect charged with Joplin, Carl Junction burglaries caught with guns, cocaine

The Newton County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed felony charges against a Joplin man who was arrested by the Newton County Sheriff's Office Tuesday following a report of a suspected burglary.

According to the probable cause statement, Nicholas Owen Cutbirth, 22, was found in an abandoned home with guns and cocaine.

From the probable cause statement:

Vl stated that on January 4, 2025, Nicholas Cutbirth arrived at her residence while she was away. Cutbirth went to another residence on her property and took a change jar and an unknown number of guns.

Vl stated that when she arrived home today, January 7, 2025, she observed that her front door handle had been damaged and that when she opened the door, the door handle fell off. Vl observed that her vehicle's key fob that was previously located in the nightstand by her bed had been removed along with a .380 caliber handgun and a .40 caliber handgun.

Vl checked her vehicle and observed that a .22 caliber that was previously located in the vehicle's glovebox was also missing. Witness 1 (Wl) was contacted on scene and stated that she had driven Cutbirth to Vl's residence on January 7, 2025.

Due to Cutbirth having previously been trespassed from the residence, Wl told Cutbirth to get out of the vehicle. Cutbirth exited the vehicle and began walking through the woods. Wl advised that when Cutbirth exited the vehicle, he was in possession of an SKS rifle and a .45 caliber handgun.

After additional deputies arrived on scene, a search for Cutbirth was conducted. Cutbirth was located in an abandoned house on Vl's property and taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, a 1911 .45 caliber handgun was located in Cutbirth's waistband and an SKS rifle was located on the floor next to where Cutbirth was standing. Cutbirth was also found to be wearing a ballistic vest under his coat.

After Cutbirth was secured, both firearms, the SKS rifle and the 1911 .45 caliber, were examined and found to have loaded magazines with rounds in the chambers.

After removing Cutbirth from the residence and conducting a search incident to arrest, a clear plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance was located in the coin pocket of his jeans. A field test conducted on the white powdery substance returned a positive for cocaine.

Central Dispatch advised that Cutbirth was a convicted felon and on probation and parole in two states and also had an active warrant for burglary out of Jasper County, Missouri

Jasper County Circuit Court records indicate a warrant was issued for Cutbirth's arrest December 23 on  a burglary charge following a Joplin Police Department investigation and he was charged with burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon in November following a Carl Junction Police Department investigation.

Again, where do all you Liberals think that all this Cocaine, Heroin, Meth, and Fentanyl are coming from - It is coming from South of the Border - through California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas - all Mexico Border States - right up the Interstates. Do you understand - Why we have to Close the Borders to Secure our Country.

These Drug Addicts then commit more Crimes with more Victims - as they have to get money to pay for their Addictions, by Robbing, Stealing, Breaking and Entering - Sometimes even more Violent by Killing Victims that stand in their way - - So keep Laughing all you Liberals and Putting your Heads in the Sand - Until - You are the Next Victim of a Drug Addict -

Kansas, Missouri found to be among states with highest drug usage -

10:24AM, First I am not your Bro, Second, I am Mad that People don't see what is going on in their own City / County / State / Country - Drugs are overtaking this Country - Causing undue amounts of Overdoses (Deaths) and Criminal Activity that is being brought onto Innocent Victims. The majority and large quantities are coming in from South of the Border of the United States. Yet, we keep stalling to Fix and Close the Borders - Putting our Heads in the Sand or having an Ice Cream Socials for Kamala Harris - which will never fix the Problems.

According to NIDA, (The National Institute on Drug Abuse), drug addiction and substance abuse cost the United States more than $600 billion each year and who do you think is Paying for all of this - HARDWORKING TAXPAYERS - WHO GO TO WORK DAILY.

Hell - Russia, China, North Korea, Iran - Doesn't have to Bomb Us - All we have to do is keep the Borders Open - and just let all the Drugs Flow Freely across America and Destroy us from within. So, Yes - I AM MAD - That the Greatest Country in the World has become a Country of Pot Users, Illegal Drugs, and Prescription Drug - Addicts. People today have NO Self-Respect for Themselves or Others.

People are getting tired of Drugs coming across the Border and Illegal Aliens, some Cartel, some Criminals, coming to this Country and then becoming a Burden - to US Tax Payers - when Sanctuary Cities are providing Free Housing, Free Food, Free Medical, Jobs, Free Education - which is causing Teachers undue issues of their Classes Doubling in Size and some of these Students do not even speak English.

America - Welcomes Immigrants - We only ask to do it Legally and Use the Process that Millions have done in the Past - With Background Checks and Proper Paperwork - Finally Democrats - Worried because how they Failed to Listen to the Voters in November - Maybe seeing the Light and Realizing what Americans want - or they will Vote them out of Office.
