Second Amendment
ReplyDeleteA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
What well regulated militia do you suppose this guy was a part of exactly?

The "well-regulated militia" are armed Americans called for militia duty by statute. If we had this system in place, ordinary Americans would be armed, supplied, and well-trained by the govt for military action at a moment's notice. This was the early-American gold standard.
ReplyDeleteRight, but this was a meth dealer protecting himself, and his supply. Not really sure the 2nd amendment would apply here.
ReplyDeleteThe fantasy of a well regulated militia doesn't seem to match today's reality. If it ever did once a gun was loaded with multiple cartridges rather than a ball, patch and powder.
ReplyDeleteA bunch of gun toting methed up felon drug dealers does not seem at all necessary or desireable.
Meth is fun for a while but things start getting crazy eventually
