Columbia Pictures filed a lawsuit this week in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri against a Nevada man who allegedly has been illegally selling pirated copies of "Spider Man 2" over the Internet.
According to court documents, Kenneth Atkins is using an "online media distribution system to distribute to the public" copies of the movie.
The company is asking for an injunction preventing Atkins from making copies of the movie. and is asking that he destroy all copies of Spider Man 2 in his possession.
The lawsuit also asks for actual damages, costs, and attorneys' fees.
