The second armed robbery trial of Gary Saucy, 47, Joplin, has been scheduled for Aug. 22 or Aug. 29 in Jasper County Circuit Court. Trial motions will be heard Friday, May 20 before Judge Jon Dermott.
Saucy was sentenced to 17 years in prison on June 8, 2004, after being found guilty by a Jasper County jury. The Missouri Southern District Court of Appeals tossed out the verdict and sent the case back for retrial saying the prosecution should not have combined charges of two different robberies against Saucy.
