News Blues for TV News Insiders, a respected media blog, reports problems for Nexstar Broadcasting's Little Rock station KARK. Reportedly, the general manager, Perry Chester, either resigned or was fired Tuesday after disputes with Nexstar's upper management.
News Director Rick Iler has accepted an assistant news director job in Phoenix, Ariz., the blog said.
Nexstar owns KSNF in Joplin and KSFX in Springfield, and is the de facto owner of Mission Broadcasting stations KODE in Joplin and KOLR in Springfield.
