In its Saturday "Roses and Thorns" opinion feature, the editorial board of the Springfield News-Leader criticized Moark (or whoever is responsible, they have to be careful) for the cruelty to animals that was caught on video by Rick Bussey of Neosho.
This is what was written:
"A THORN: To Moark or its subcontractor — there's a lot of finger-pointing going on — for dumping live chickens into a dumpster in Newton County. The older birds were supposed to have been gassed before being disposed of, but a man who videotaped the chickens says they were jumping and flapping their wings. The sheriff's department is investigating."
