Two news outlets were the first, and so far only ones I have found (at 8:01 p.m.) who have posted the news of State Senator Larry Gene Taylor's death, which happened this afternoon.
Information about the death of the senator, who was the son of longtime Seventh District Congressman Gene Taylor, R-Sarcoxie, is featured on the KODE and Springfield News-Leader websites.
Taylor, who lived in Shell Knob, represented five southwest Missouri counties, including McDonald and Barry counties.
