Lebanon businessman Doug Russell, son of longtime State Senator John Russell, has been selected by Governor Matt Blunt to be chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, according to the Associated Press.
The older Russell's district during much of his four-decade tenure in the state legislature, included Barton County. John Russell's grandson, also named John, worked for the Blunt campaign last year and serves as the governor's deputy chief of staff for administration.
