After a long wait, the jury trial for former Barton County Memorial Hospital finance director Kim Schlup, 41, Deerfield, who is charged with embezzling $77,735 between March 15, 1999, and Oct. 7, 2003, will be held beginning Aug. 22 in Cedar County Circuit Court. The case is being heard there on a change of venue from Barton County.
The trial is scheduled to last five days, according to court records.
