The bulletin just went out that Rosa Parks died:
-CNBC is featuring an interview with rock star Tommy Lee.
-Fox News Channel is covering another bombing by the insurgents in Iraq.
-MSNBC has yet another chapter in the interminable story of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
-CNN is featuring a story on the special prosecutor who is investigating the CIA leak.
While I cannot argue the news value of the CIA leak investigation or the situation in Iraq, the passing of a pivotal figure in American history deserves much more than this.
Randy - PLEASE, get a life....turn off your television and your computer...go for a walk...have a conversation with an adult....take a nap....wash your car....read a good book....
ReplyDeleteYeah, Mr. T, can't you see how an interview with a washed up person that slept with Pam Anderson is SOOOOOOO much more newsworthy than the death of someone who dedicated their life to an actual cause of worth?! Sheesh.

You might try NPR. I know they've made note of Mrs. Parks' passing all day. They told facts about her life that I didn't know. Very interesting, worth listening to.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Parks changed our nation. That one small private individual, without fame or power to help her make herself heard, could have such a profound effect on our society is well worth noting and mourning when she passes on.
