Student loans part of U. S. budget cut plan

One of the cuts being proposed by the Republican Congress is $14.3 billion in student loans, according to Cavalier Daily, the newspaper for the University of Virginia.
The newspaper quotes Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt, the House majority leader, as saying, "I think we'll have the votes this week."

I have a better idea, why don't they cut off the funding for Bush's stupid war and bring all our troops home and there will be plenty of money for programs that are needed, such as this one.

Student loans provide access to a future that parents may not have the money to provide for.

I am unalterably opposed to what they're doing.
