The Sunday Globe featured a small item in the business section noting that KOAM has promoted Doreen Scanlon to the anchor position on the morning news.
The northeast Kansas native has eased smoothly into the position vacated by Sarah Pierik, who took a position with KWCH in Wichita. According to KOAM's bio of Miss Scanlon, she received her bachelor's degree from Boston College and her master's degree from Emerson. She previously worked as a production assistant for Fox News in New York.
She graduated from Boston College and got a master's from Emerson.
