Novak: Why Blunt lost
Columnist Robert Novak offers a behind-the-scenes look on why Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt lost his fight to become majority leader.
If Roy truly believed he had the votes going into that meeting, then what cost him the job was nothing more than sheer arrogance. However, since it's Novak providing this account, I don't know that it carries much weight or validity.
