Blunt leasing Chevrolet Tahoe at taxpayers' expense
He already receives more than $130,000 a year, but a Knight-Ridder report suggests Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt leases a Chevrolet Tahoe for $903.80 or $10,845.60 per year...and it is coming out of our pockets.
The vehicles are one of the little-known perks received by Congressmen, the article says, and they are costing taxpayers more than $1 million annually.
The Kansas City Star also includes how much of the taxpayers' money some Congressmen spend on leasing vehicles. Sam Graves uses $1,300 a month of our money to lease two vehicles, while Fourth District Congressman Ike Skelton does not take advantage of this perk.
