Nodler receives $41.90 in lobbyists gifts for February

Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, received only $41.90 in lobbyists' gifts during February, according to disclosure documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
That total included $32 from Stephen Knorr, University of Missouri lobbyist, for entertainment, $1.50 from Jay Reichard, Andrew Blunt's partner, who most likely was lobbying for AT&T (lobbyists do not file those forms until the end of March) and $8.40 for meals, food and beverage from Francis Flotron, who puts down most of his expenses to his lobbying firm, but his list of clients includes the Missouri Hospital Association, and a number of groups that favor educational vouchers. Nodler, of course, is chairman of the Senate's Education Committee.
Nodler has received $196.30 in lobbyists' gifts since Jan. 1, according to the Ethics Commission records. Of course, as has been noted numerous times in The Turner Report, Nodler receives his gifts from lobbyists in the form of cold, hard cash, contributions to his campaign, his Nodler Leadership PAC and the 32nd District Senatorial District Committee. Those committees will file disclosure forms next month.

Sen. Delbert Scott, whose district includes Barton County, received only $60 in lobbyists' gifts in February, all of that coming in the form of entertainment from Steven Millikan, Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance Company. Scott has received $167.45 since the beginning of the year.
