Post-Dispatch explores lobbyist gifts for legislative aides

Another way of getting around lobbyist disclosure laws is explored in an article in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
That newspaper and others, including The Joplin Globe, have noted recently how lobbyists pay for meals and gifts for legislative committees and caucuses, which enables legislators to avoid having the amount put on their records.
Gifts are also being given to legislative aides, some of which are used by the legislators themselves, according to the Post-Dispatch.
