Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, and representatives Ron Richard, R-Joplin, and Bryan Stevenson, R-Webb City, updated Joplin R-8 Board members today on pending legislative issues, with Nodler saying he supports Sen. Jack Goodman's proposal for a uniform school start date, but that he does not expect it to be passed this session.
The legislators also addressed legislation that some say would open the door for educational vouchers in Missouri, according to a Joplin Daily article.
