Hollinger officials to cooperate with probe

Officials from Hollinger, Inc., the media company that used to own The Carthage Press and Neosho Daily News, have agreed to supply evidence in the federal government's investigation of its former CEO Conrad Black, according to an article in today's New York Post.
Black allegedly stole millions of dollars from the company and accepted bribes from companies that bought Hollinger newspapers in the form of non-compete payments that companies paid to him following sales.
The Press and Daily were part of American Publishing Co., a Hollinger subsidiary, until that subsidiary spun off into Liberty Group Publishing in 1998. Liberty was recently renamed GateHouse Media.
