Blunt: GOP must focus on faith, family values

It's an election year.
Republicans are planning on avoiding issues like immigration between now and November, while concentrating on social issues such as gay marriage, abortion, the Pledge of Allegiance, flagburning, etc.
Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt is among the GOP leaders quoted in this Associated Press article.

    Silly me.

I thought family values was about a thriving job market, salaries that families can actually live off of, availability of family health insurance, school lunches, a tank of gasoline that doesn't cost you half a day's salary or more, the ability to send your children to college, the knowledge that the pension that you depend on for support in your old age will not be stolen by corporate crooks or spent on medical care.

Now what was that they were saying about family values?...

Naw, in Roy's case family values means the ability to dump your wife of thirty years to marry the bimbo you have been messing around with.

  3. I dunno - it all sounds like different people trying to push different variances of religion down someone's throat.

I don't know about you - but I think people should be able to do whatever they want provided it hurts no one else. (no murders, assaults, etc.)

Ah well - what do I know? Hmmm?
