Feds ask court to delay Cox civil suit

In documents filed Monday in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the government asked a federal judge to extend a delay of a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against CoxHealth to allow a criminal investigation to continue.
Roger Cochran and Dennis Morris claim they were fired by Cox officials after taking information about wrongdoing in the Medicare program to government officials. Their lawsuit was delayed while a grand jury was investigating the charge, but the grand jury's session ended earlier this month with no indictments issued.
The government investigation was first revealed in the June 8, 2005 Turner Report.
