Judge wants more information on former Hollinger CEO's finances
A federal judge is wanting more information from former Hollinger International CEO Conrad Black about discrepancies in his financial statements. The answers could be the key to whether Black remains free on bond while awaiting his trial on charges of stealing millions of dollars from his company.
The judge is curious as to how Black continues to pay out $200,000 a month in living expenses, though he has no source of income.
Hollinger at one time owned The Carthage Press and Neosho Daily News, as well as dozens of other daily newspapers through its American Publishing subsidiary.
