The battle between Senator Jim Talent and his challenger, State Auditor Claire McCaskill is the focus of an article posted Wednesday on USA Today's site.
Among those quoted in the article are a Neosho student and State Senator Norma Champion, R-Springfield.
Norma Champion just doesn't get it. The anti stem cell, anti minimum wage,
ReplyDeleteanti ethics reform that she and Talent share aren't the values of rural Missouri let alone the values of the voters of the states third most urban area that she is supposed to represent.
Speak for yourself, "Anonymous". This rural voter doesn't believe in destroying embryos for medical research, let alone devoting public money to do it. (The sheer dishonesty of the embryonic stem cell proponents sickens me. Shall we enter the Age of Tantalus and serve up our children to the gods in hopes they will grant us the favors of health and immortality?)
ReplyDeleteAs for the rest, meddling in business and being generous with other people's money don't really have that much appeal to rural voters who believe in standing on their own and that help must be offered, not stolen.
"Out of touch", indeed. More like, "doesn't listen to ME."
