First steps taken to clear Ken Lay's name

Enron CEO Ken Lay was found guilty at his trial but died before he could be sentenced.
That means in the eyes of the law his conviction will not stand, so it should be vacated and the first steps to clear Mr. Lay's record have taken place, according to an article in today's Houston Chronicle.
Since Mr. Lay was still in the appeals process his conviction was not official, so most likely his sentence will be vacated, the government will not be allowed to take his money, and the people who were victimized by what he and his confederates did with Enron will receive no justice whatsoever.
