Last minute bucks flow to Loudon campaign
The Seventh State Senatorial District Republican Committee, which had $27.50 in its account at the time of its July report, contributed $2,000 to state auditor candidate John Loudon Monday, according to documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission. This makes $7,000 committee has donated to the senator since the last day of March.
In July, the committee filed a limited activity statement meaning it received no contributions. Its last revenue, prior to wherever this latest cash flow came from, was a $5,000 contribution on March 31 from Missouri Physicians Mutual, St. Louis. On the same day, the committee donated $5,000 to Loudon's campaign, leaving it with $27.50.
Monday's filing showed Loudon receiving $4,350, including three $250 contributions from people connected to the St. Louis law firm of Carmody McDonald- Mark Hillis, Suzanne Carmody, and Kevin Williams.
St. Charles developer Michael Sellenschuetter kicked in $600 and the McCarthy Group of Chesterfield donated $1,000.
This is not the first contribution Loudon has received this month from a committee which apparently had a late influx of cash. As noted in the Aug. 5 Turner Report, Loudon picked up $7,700 from the 29th Senate District Republican Committee, a committee which had only $2,350 in the bank at the time of its July quarterly report.
