Wright forms campaign committee; Nodler passes $100,000

Kim Wright, the Joplin social worker who is mounting an independent campaign against 32nd District State Senator Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, has formed her campaign committee, according to documents filed July 31 with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Her committee has been named "Committee for Missouri Government the Wright Way." The treasurer is Cindy Weaver of Joplin, and an account has been established with Commerce Bank.
Her fledgling campaign faces a huge obstacle when it comes to finances. Documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission indicate Nodler has received $2,250 in contributions during the first four days of this month, including $1,150 on Friday.
On Friday, he received the maximum $650 from Associated Builders and Contractors Heart of America, Kansas City; and $500 from the Northwest PAC, Albany, MO.
His other August contributors are: Missouri Consumer Lenders PAC, $300; Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers PAC, $600; and Empire District Electric Company PAC, $250.
Added to the $98,018.98 Nodler reported in his eight days before election filing and the senator has $100,268.98.

Did you notice that Kim said on her committee form that she is running in the 7th district instead of the 32nd? Thats what we need a Senator that doesn't even know what district she is running in!

Actually it is the 7th Congressional District for Jasper and Newton and the 4th Congressional District for Dade. The petition form requested the Congressional District NOT the Senate District...I suspect she is quite competent!!

Mr. Turner, This comment was not about her petition but about her statement of committee organization. Block C asks for office sought, block D asks for political subdivision, in this case it is state senate, 32nd district. If you doubt it, check with the ethics commision. It appears that neither you or Ms. Wright are competent in this regard

  4. And perhaps you should be competent enough to know who it is to whom you are responding. My comments are always accompanied by my name.

Mr.Turner, Your incometence was in not reporting Ms. Wright's error when you first posted! If one of our area legislators had made this mistake you would have been all over it.
