AP; Blunt cleared in license fee office investigation

Associated Press reports a federal prosecutor has cleared Missouri Governor Matt Blunt of any wrongdoing in connection with the awarding of license fee offices.
The article includes this gem:

Blunt spokesman Spence Jackson praised today's announcement by the U.S. attorney.

"This affirms what we've said all along — that we have overseen this process with integrity and a clear focus on providing good customer service and reducing cost to taxpayers," Jackson said.

No one in Blunt’s administration ever was contacted by federal or state authorities regarding the investigation, Jackson said.

Now that sounds like some thorough investigation.

A complete investigation indeed, probably all of 15 minutes. So here is what the future should hold for the fee agents. As soon as Jay Nixon is elected Governor and sworn in, these Repug fee agents are fired immediately. Whats good for one is good for another. By bye fee agents, your end is in sight.
