Guest Houses to close

State officials took steps Friday to close Robert Dupont's three Guest Houses (four, including the one that burned in Anderson killing 10).
Joplin River of Life Ministries, which appears to simply be a Dupont front will have to close the facilities Jan. 5. Attorney General Jay Nixon points out the problem with the way the Division of Health and Senior Services is handling the shutdown:

Said Nixon: "I'm extremely disappointed that they've handled it in this manner. é Under the paperwork they pushed out today, the felon will continue to keep operating the homes."

Leaving those with mental problems in homes run by Dupont just because of logistical problems in relocating the residents is similar to allowing children to remain in a home run by a child molester because it is so hard to find enough families to take care of them. No one would ever dream of doing that. Apparently, those who are mentally challenged do not receive the same kind of concern.
