Hunter top lobbyist gift recipient for 2006
Rep. Steve Hunter, R-Joplin, as expected, received more gifts from lobbyists than any other area legislator, according to documents filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Hunter picked up $3,839.98 in gifts, but none during December, the report indicated. Rep. Ron Richard, R-Joplin, received $1,647.42, including $36.43 in December. Rep. Bryan Stevenson, R-Webb City, had $1,138.78, including $27.54 in December; Rep. Kevin Wilson, R-Neosho, $428.32, with none in December, Rep. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, $397.70, including $55.40 in December, and Rep. Marilyn Ruestman, R-Joplin, $214.84, with $27.54 in December.
Tops among the four state senators who represent this area was Sen. Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon, with $914.80, followed by Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, $713.49, Sen. Norma Champion, R-Springfield, $695.41, and Rep. Delbert Scott, R-Lowry City, $491.70.
