In his first public statement concerning the sexual harassment scandal surrounding former Agriculture Director Fred Ferrell, Attorney General Jay Nixon said Governor Matt Blunt's handling of the matter "disgusted" him:
"The record here is very, very clear. We're talking about a man (Ferrell) who did not deserve continued employment with the state." Nixon said Ferrell should have been fired in May, when the complaint was first filed.
