Don Lucietta, Lamar, the legislative aide to Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt on agricultural issues, has replaced former Missouri Agriculture Director Fred Ferrell as featured speaker at the Thursday, April 26, Neosho R-5 Charitable Foundation Banquet.
Lucietta, whom I remember as a member of one of the best boards of education I ever had the good fortune to follow, when he served on the Lamar R-1 Board, will present an award to the Neosho High School Agriculture Department, according to the Neosho Daily News.
The substitution was a wise move by the Foundation. Ferrell, as you may recall, was fired by Governor Matt Blunt nine months after the governor received a Missouri Highway Patrol report indicating he was guilty of sexual harassment.
