MSSU standout, East Newton grad Barbre picked by Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers selected Missouri Southern State University lineman Allen Barbre in the fourth round of the NFL draft today. Barbre is the first East Newton High School graduate to be drafted by an NFL team.
I am from Lamar, MO and I have nothing to say about this young man except for congratulations. I played football against him when I graduated in 2001. I also went to MSSU. I believe that being from a very small town and a respectable, but small college, that this is a great accomplishment for a great young man.
I say congrats too. That is big news for East Newton. I graduated from there in 1990 and we didnt have shit for sports. Oh and I know the chick from Dimples you speak of :o) ah, the good ole days.
Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention that he is the first EN grad to make over 25k a year.
ReplyDeleteNot true; there was a stripper at Dimples from East Newton. She made over 30K when she was 19 :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that's just from Randy's visits alone!
