Blunt contributions fall by $100,000

It pays to be the party in power.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Saturday that Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt's campaign contributions have fallen and those for Fourth District Congressman Ike Skelton are up:

From January to March of this year, Skelton quadrupled previous fund-raising totals; the other two more than doubled their money.

Meanwhile, receipts for House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., plummeted by almost $100,000 over the same time period two years ago, the last non-election year.

I really wish there was a way to stop this business of buying politicians. It screams corruption.

The sad thing about the buying of politicans is the fact that the little guy out here on the street has no one bidding for him. It is all about money, and lots of it. $50. to see Jae Nixon in Branson, I'll never get over that one, and he is our AG.
