TRO to expire today for Springfield facility

A temporary restraining order prohibiting the state and federal governments from taking Greene Haven, a Springfield nursing home, off the Medicare and Medicaid rolls, is scheduled to expire at 5 p.m. today:

The state cut benefits following a state review that claimed Greene Haven did not do enough to prevent four deaths.

A Greene Haven administrator has said issues in the report have been addressed and argued no deaths were caused by poor care.
