Jackson report shows $1,000 spent on survey
Former state representative and possible Republican candidate for governor Col. Jack Jackson paid $1,000 to Survey St. Louis to gauge his viability in a race against incumbent Matt Blunt.
Jackson recently said the results of that survey were encouraging, but so far has not announced if he will run against Blunt. Jackson was reportedly angered when the governor supported Platte County Auditor Sandra Thomas for state auditor, support which likely enabled Mrs. Thomas to eke out a slim victory over Jackson in the GOP primary for state auditor in 2006.
Jackson's October disclosure report, filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission, showed no contributions and only the $1,000 expense.

Update: Jackson announced today he would not run for governor.
